From November 7-9, 2025, the First National Symposium on Smart Composite Materials & Additive Manufacturing was grandly held at Southern University of Science and Technology. Co-sponsored by the China Composites Society (CCS), the Composite Materials Additive Manufacturing Committee of CCS, and the Smart Composite Materials Branch of CCS, and jointly organized by the School of Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing at Southern University of Science and Technology, the International Center for Applied Mechanics at Harbin Institute of Technology, the Smart Composite Materials Committee of the Chinese Mainland Chapter of SAMPE (Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering), and the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute, this event brought together nearly 200 experts and scholars from over 40 universities, research institutions, and application units across China to explore technological frontiers and map out new blueprints for the field's development.

Recently, six ministries and commissions including the MIIT jointly issued the "Work Plan for Stabilizing Growth in the Machinery Industry (2025 - 2026)". It sets goals such as striving for an average annual growth rate of around 3.5% in the operating income of the machinery industry during 2025 - 2026, exceeding 10 trillion yuan in operating income, and fostering a number of competitive distinctive industrial clusters of small and medium-sized enterprises as well as internationally competitive industrial clusters.

Recently, the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council have issued the Action Plan for the Special Campaign to Boost Consumption and issued a notice, requiring all regions and departments to earnestly implement it in light of their actual circumstances.
