On November 24, the Guangdong Laser and Additive Manufacturing SME Industrial Cluster Development Promotion Conference and Guangzhou Laser and Additive Manufacturing Industry Undertaking Zone Promotion Event were held at the Longxi Avenue Park in the Hailongwei Science and Innovation Zone, Liwan, Guangzhou. On the same day, witnessed by responsible persons from provincial, municipal and district governments, Academician Leng Jinsong of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and more than 100 industry representatives, the logo of the "Guangzhou Laser and Additive Manufacturing Industrial Park" was lit up, marking its official opening.

On October 25, the training event themed "Customized Applications of 4D Printing in the Biomedical Field", hosted by the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute, was successfully held in Maoming City. With the objectives of cultivating professional talents and promoting technology transformation, the event built a high-quality platform for cutting-edge technology exchange and resource docking in the biomedical sector. It attracted participants including R&D backbones from biomedical enterprises, medical staff of orthopedics and rehabilitation departments in hospitals, teachers and students majoring in biomedical engineering from universities, as well as medical device R&D teams.

On October 15, 2025, to thoroughly implement the deployment of Guangzhou's "12218" modern industrial system construction and accelerate the cultivation of future industries such as cutting-edge new materials, the Policy Briefing Session on the 2026—2027 Guangdong Provincial Key Areas R&D Program "Laser and Additive Manufacturing" Special Project was successfully held in Guangzhou.

Amid the vibrant atmosphere of the first National Science Popularization Month, the "Technology for the Future – Special Science Popularization Event on Soft Robots" was successfully held at Guangzhou Xiguan Peiying Middle School on September 15, 2025. Guided by the Bureau of Science, Technology, Industry and Information Technology of Liwan District, Guangzhou and hosted by the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute, the event invited Associate Professor Guo Jianglong from the Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), a member of Academician Leng Jinsong’s team, as the keynote speaker. He delivered in-depth knowledge of soft robots to over 200 middle school students, helping teenagers appreciate the charm of technology and inspiring their passion for innovation.

On August 27, the "Explore the Wonderful World of Robots – Robot Science Popularization Series Events Entering Communities", guided by the Bureau of Science, Technology, Industry and Information Technology of Liwan District, Guangzhou and hosted by the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute, kicked off in a lively atmosphere at Dongjiao Sub-district. Through a variety of engaging formats including interesting lectures, physical exhibits and interactive games, this event led community teenagers to lift the veil of mystery surrounding robots and plant the seeds of scientific and technological innovation in their minds.

On August 22, the "Connecting Supply and Demand for a Win - Win Future - 2025 Liwan District Additive Manufacturing Industry Technology Matching Event", guided by the Bureau of Science, Technology, Industry and Information Technology of Liwan District, Guangzhou, and hosted by the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as the "Research Institute"), was successfully held at the South China Base of Beijing Stock Exchange in Lisheng Plaza.

To further promote the high-quality development of Liwan District's additive manufacturing industry, the Guangzhou Future Additive Manufacturing Research Institute organized the "Additive Manufacturing Leads, Empowers Liwan – Expert On-Site Enterprise Service Activity" on August 22. Against the backdrop of the rapid development of digital manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing, 4D printing, as one of the core technologies, is increasingly penetrating various fields such as industry, medical care, education, and daily life. To promote public understanding and practical popularization of 4D printing technology, this "Zero-Based 4D Printing Experience" science popularization activity is specially launched for primary and secondary school students, citizens, 4D printing enthusiasts, enterprise employees, government staff, and other groups.
